Crystal Heidel

Crystal Heidel is a romantic suspense/mystery, science fiction, and poetry writer. She is the owner of Byzantium Sky Press, an independent publishing company located in Southern Delaware. Crystal also owns Heimat Coaching, where she is dedicated to helping writers develop their craft through her masterclass and coaching packages.

Still Life in Blood is the first in the Still Life Series involving the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit. It was originally published in 2013, earning the Delaware Press Association and the National Federation of Press Women's First Place prize for Best Novel in 2014. The Second Edition was released April 27, 2024. The sequel, Still Life in Ice is forthcoming in 2024, with books three and four already planned.

Her poetry collection, Echoes and Memories and Night Air (formerly Landslide), was released in 2023, with additional poems and a new interior design.

As a longtime member of the Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild, she calls Delaware home but enjoys traveling worldwide.
