Garry Moes

Garry J. Moes is a lifelong professional writer and journalist. He served as a political reporter and editor for The Associated Press for 21 year before moving to Sweden to help develop a private Christian journalism school. He served as academic vice president and professor of journalism and economics at the Nordic College of Journalism, Scandinavian Christian University. He also did underground human rights investigating and aid work behind the Iron Curtain. Upon returning to the United States, he served for five years as editor of two theological journals dealing with cultural and social affairs. He did freelance reporting for several news agencies covering stories in Europe, Central America and the United States. He worked for many years as a freelance writer and editor, authoring a history of modern western civilization, a series of grammar and spelling textbooks, as well as creating a Christian worldview magazine. He served for 12 years as director of a Christian camp and retreat center in California before moving in 2010 to South Carolina. He currently serves as director of development and recruiting for Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Taylors, S.C.
