Keith J. Egan

Keith J. Egan is Adjunct Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame since 1983. In 1984 he founded and directed the Center for Spirituality at Saint Mary’s College and is the college’s Aquinas Chair in Catholic Theology Emeritus. Dr. Egan’s doctorate is from the University of Cambridge, England. He is past president of the College Theology Society and of the Carmelite Institute (2007-2012). He is a charter member of the North American Carmelite Forum as well as a Corresponding fellow of the Institutum Carmelitanum, Rome. Dr. Egan has lectured widely throughout North America and in Rome, England and Ireland. He has published extensively on Christian Spirituality and Mysticism especially on Carmelite Spirituality.
