Cathy Madden

Through years of experience and thousands of cakes decorated Carey Madden has become one of the foremost experts in the field of buttercream decoration.

Carey honed her skills as a professional cake decorator at the premiere New York City bakery, Two Little Red Hens, and as an intern at Ron Ben-Israel Cakes. She has taken what is a traditional and well respected yet overlooked branch of the sugar arts and applied contemporary composition and innovative design to create unique and memorable cakes.

Carey’s work has recently been featured in a number of New York City bakery guides, Vogue and Mademoiselle Magazines, The Chew, Good Day New York and The Real Housewives of New York City television programs. Celebrities such as Madonna, Bethenny Frankel, Henry Winkler, Martha Stewart, Liza Minnelli, Christina Hendricks, Matt Lauer and Katie Holmes and food authorities such as Anthony Bourdain and Ed Levine have all enjoyed the beauty of her cakes.

Carey is a proud resident of East Harlem.
