Mike Echols

Mike was the first member of his family to attend college, earning his bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. from the University of California Berkley.

After holding three senior executive roles at General Electric Company, Mike moved into academia at Bellevue University, which was among the first colleges to create opportunities for adult learners to earn and finish their degrees.

Mike led the Strategic Initiatives Division at Bellevue University, pioneering research on the ROI of corporate learning. Mike also established the award-winning Bellevue University Human Capital Lab, the first academic think tank dedicated to measuring the impact of corporate learning.

Mike’s journey in education and passion for helping adult learners led him to write Your Future is Calling. “My deepest hope,” said Mike, “is that this book will inspire you to embark on your journey to degree completion.”
