Rebecca Small MD FAAFP

Dr. Rebecca Small is a Harvard-trained physician and Cambridge University graduate who serves as a Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Medicine. She teaches plastic surgery and family medicine residents, nurse practitioners, and nursing students advanced aesthetic procedures and injectable techniques.

An expert in aesthetic medicine education, Dr. Small specializes in botulinum toxin, dermal filler, and laser treatments, and developed the internationally recognized Safety Zones—an evidence-based framework guiding safe injectable practice. She co-developed UCSF’s two-year outpatient aesthetic training curriculum and leads ongoing skills labs for medical providers.

Dr. Small is the author of the Small’s Practical Guide textbook series, used worldwide by providers learning aesthetic medicine, botox and filler injection techniques, and cosmetic dermatology procedures. She is also the founder of RSMD Aesthetics Training and RSMD Medical Aesthetics in Santa Cruz, California.
