Verna Hill Simms

Verna Hill Simms lives in the Midwest close to her family. Verna joined the Jefferson County (Missouri) Writers Society ten years ago at the age of eighty and is still an active member. Verna's stories have been published in two Cup of Comfort books and eight other anthologies. She writes for magazines and has a column in the local newspaper, where she shares "short essays on slices of life." Verna's hobbies include swimming, sewing, gardening, and reading.

Verna Hill Simms contributed "Take Care of Your Mother" to the book, "Journeys to Mother Love" (published by Cladach Publishing, 2012) and penned the novel, "Water Under the Bridge" (published by Rocking Horse Publishing, 2014) under the byline of Verna Simms.
