Michael Cleaves

I am a writer living in Brooklyn, new to the genre of fantasy/sci-fi. I have a background in American history, which I studied for nearly ten years, having received my PhD in 2010. Before entering academia, I was an illustrator, focusing especially on comic art. I began to write my first novel in 2012, after working briefly with Zharmae as an illustrator and graphic designer, and found a new love. Currently, I am at work on the second volume of the Land and Sky trilogy, entitled "A Map of Unknown Lands."
