Jeff Deischer writes adventure fiction and non-fiction about adventure fiction under a number of pen names though primarily using his own name. He has written in nearly every genre, primarily in the (new) pulp style from science fiction to sword & sorcery to space opera to detective and spy fiction. But his two loves are superheroes and classic pulp action heroes, using new, pastiche, and public domain characters in both categories.
In the early 1990s, Jeff began a correspondence with noted pulp historian and novelist Will Murray, while he was writing both the DOC SAVAGE and THE DESTROYER series (THE DESTROYER #102 is actually dedicated to Jeff). Jeff currently consults on Will Murray’s “The Wild Adventures of …” series, a privilege that he enjoys. Will Murray’s sage advice helped turn Jeff into a true author.
