Eunike Grahofer

Eunike Grahofer was born into a small town in Waldviertel, in Lower Austria. Growing up she has always been close to nature. As an enthusiastic user of the local plant world, she is mainly dedicated to the documentation and the research of ethnographic plant knowledge. On the one hand, Eunike can look back on the wealth of experience from her nature-loving family and on the other hand, has been conducting interviews with ordinary people, mostly elderly, people who still experienced a time when our wild plants were almost the only help. According to the motto: „ The plant knowledge of simple people.“ It collects and preserves the legacy of herbalists, the folklore plant knowledge created from life so that it is preserved for our generation and our posterity. She passes on this collected knowledge in books, seminars, lectures and specialist articles.
