Sandra D. Halpenny

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sandra went to school for dress design and later attended art classes at a local college and the Chicago Art Institute. She has done many different kinds of arts and crafts over the years, but following her move to Canada over 30 years ago, she discovered bead weaving art.

She has devoted herself to designing bead weaving patterns that are easy for anyone to do. In addition to designing, she has taught classes at local bead stores and is a member of her local bead society. Her focus is in designing, then writing patterns with step-by-step instructions and full color illustrations. She has had her designs published in Bead and Button magazine, Bead Patterns magazine, Canadian Bead magazine and was one of the first to produce 3 CD's of necklace patterns in 2003.

Sandra D. Halpenny is the author of several popular books and eBooks on contemporary beadwork: Beading and Designing Bracelets, Christmas Time Pattern Collection, Wedding Lace Necklace Collection, Beaded Snowflake Ornament Collection, Beaded Bracelet Pattern Collection plus more. She continues to sell over 400 bead weaving patterns on her website.
