STANLEY SALMONS held academic posts at the University of Birmingham, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Liverpool, where he is currently Emeritus Professor. He is internationally known for his work in the fields of biomedical engineering, muscle physiology and their clinical applications, published in over 200 papers and 12 books.
As a fiction writer he can draw from a broad scientific experience, so although the subject matter varies he is attracted to credible science-based thrillers. He is a member of the Society of Authors and leads Wordsmiths, a writers' group in Liverpool. He has published over 40 short stories, including the anthologies "The Tomb" and "A Bit of Irish Mist". Novels published to date are "Footprints in the Ash", "NH3","The Man in Two Bodies", "Cell Line", "Red Nebula", "Rogue Gene", the children's novels "The Canterpurry Tales" and "War & Purrs", the Jim Slater series ("The Domino Man", "Counterfeit", "The Reich Legacy", "Vendetta", "Blue on Blue", "The Gold of Nubia", and "Escape from Death Row"), and the Planetary Trilogy ("Saturn Run", "Mars Run", and "Jupiter Run", with the sequel "The Girl in the Silver Spacesuit").
