Why a 2nd edition of CMMS Explained?

The interaction with the readers of the first edition prompted me to expand areas of discussions and add additional material. Throughout each of these interactions a common goal became apparent to me... Understanding system functionality and how to maximize the potential.

One specific commenter opened my eyes when he told me I was trying to describe a color to someone who is color blind. Based on this enlightening conversation a “how to assess your system” section to explain what “it” should look like is included. Other commenters pointed out that the terminology utilized within systems was confusing so this is further explained to eliminate any confusion.

The intended target audience is those that want to learn what a system is, how it is best implemented, and how it should be utilized. Enjoy the read, and as always I look forward to your questions or comments.
