J. Anomdeplume

Born John Hodges (1959) at Duke University Hospital where Dad did editing on his dissertation the night of his firstborn's birth, our "J. Anomdeplume" would publish that same dissertation decades later. John added an introduction, complete with Brownie-camera pix of 1930s hunting dogs.

Translations of French works became John's own forte. Those include war pilot books of the WW II genre. John was teaching French at a community college near Phoenix when his boss connected him with Jacques, a FAFL pilot. That's _Forces Aeriennes Francaises Libres_, the Free French in contrast to the Vichy government, a/k/a Hitler's puppets.
