Chris Tharp

Originally hailing from Olympia, Washington, Chris Tharp has called Korea home since 2004. His award-winning writing has appeared in National Geographic Traveller UK, The Telegraph, CNN Travel, Conde Naste Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Wanderlust, and many others.

Chris has written three books, "Dispatches from the Peninsula: Six Years in South Korea," "The Worst Motorcycle in Laos: Rough Travels in Asia," and a comic novel called "The Cuttlefish." He lives in Busan with his wife and a fluctuating number of animals.
