Andrew Dier

Andrew Dier is an American travel writer who has lived in Bogotá, Colombia for several years. He is the author of the first and second editions of the Moon Colombia Handbook, the first edition of Moon Cartagena and Colombia's Caribbean Coast, and excerpted books: Moon Bogotá and Moon Medellin. The first edition of Moon Colombia was the bronze winner of the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition award for best travel guide 2014-15. His second edition of Moon Colombia was translated into French in 2018 under the title Guide Évasion Colombie (Hachette Tourisme). Besides the Moon projects, he has written for publications in the US, Colombia and India and been interviewed for travel podcasts based in Colombia, the US and in the UK.
