I started out submitting short stories to medical publications. I had such a fascinating life as a full time GP and met so many lovely but unusual people. For instance there was the family who kept a fully grown pig (it was the size of a small sofa!) in the front room of their terraced house. Or the family who refused to go to bed (all four of them) because they thought the house was haunted. Then there was the lady who'd gone to bed one day and refused to get up. I visited her and suggested we went for a little walk. I went down the side of the bed to remove a wicker chair and lifted this high up and spun it round - only it wasn't a chair but a commode which of course was full. It was a good job I had my Mac on that day!

I always knew that there was more out there and my first novel was finished some years later. Since then it's become a bit of a hobby - one that I greatly enjoy. My latest release is a children's book - From Age 9 - The Magic Suitcase and in 2020 it will be followed by a sequel. Thanks for looking- as they say!
