Claudio Aita

Friulian (a linguistic minority in north-eastern Italy) and the son of emigrants, he has lived in Friuli (Friûl) and Tuscany, where he currently resides. An expert in Church History and Medieval History, he has worked as publisher in the cultural heritage sector. He recently became an editorial consultant and populariser of historical subjects.

In recent years, he has made a name for himself as an author of thrillers set in historical and contemporary settings. His books featuring Geremia Solaris have been bestsellers in Italy. He has enjoyed renewed success with the series of investigations by the monk Anselmo. He is also the author of novels in the Friulian language.
