Sandro Dariosto

Sandro Dariosto now spends part of every year near Ferrara, Italy. Though he studied in Montana with Richard Hugo, Barry Hannah and Leslie Marmion Silko among others, it was his contact with Guy Debord in Paris that truly changed his life. From Debord he was introduced to the life and writings of Errico Malatesta. Since those days in France, Dariosto has remained in hiding for the most part. He lives part of the year in Emilia, near Ferrara. For over twenty years, under another name, he has made a meagre living writing Jazz criticism.

His earliest work was appreciated and edited by Isaac Asimov, but Dariosto refused publication, not wanting to be defined by genre. And not wanting to become just another spoke in the spectacle.

He is the author of THE LAST GOOD RUN, THE WISDOM RUN and HANDS OF THE BIRD AND OTHER STORIES. An omnibus volume, BURTON THE RED collects his most recent and ongoing work, including IN THE NORTH, BURTON WITH THE THOUSAND and BEYOND ASPROMONTE.
