Marco Baier

Apart from having an overactive imagination, Marco Baier has a deep love for B-horror movies, computer games, and especially all sorts of fantastic books – which inevitably turned him into a writer, gamer, and self-proclaimed geek.

He is most fond of writing the darker tales of fantasy and science fiction, tends to spice the gore with humor, and his stories with wisdom. After all, enlightenment and evisceration work perfectly together – or so he claims.

He has more than ten years of professional experience in the computer game industry on his broad back – most of that at Blizzard Entertainment. He has lived and worked in Germany, France, Ireland, and the USA. Past occupations include banker, bouncer, trainer, translator, manager, and even a couple of years in the German Special Forces.

Having completed his own version of a Hero’s Journey, he has returned to the country of his birth (Germany) and now lives in rural Bavaria. Apart from writing and reading, he enjoys philosophical discussions, good games, Pen & Paper RPGs (he has been refining his very own system for years on end now), and baking.
