John Hemming-Clark

John Hemming-Clark never planned to be an author — but as a descendant of Shakespeare’s editor and best friend, perhaps it was inevitable.

His first book, In You Go!, grew out of his years as a Scout leader, chronicling the hilarious and heart-warming things kids say and do. Since then, he’s brought laughter to readers of all ages with the Horace Horrise series — tales of the UK’s most delightfully dysfunctional family.

John’s books have been praised for their warmth, wit, and laugh-out-loud humour, earning comparisons to Sue Townsend’s Adrian Mole, Richmal Crompton’s William, and Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear.

Other works include If Gondolas Could Talk (101 ski stories) and Transformative Testimonies.
