Barbara McGillivray

I am a research fellow at The Alan Turing Institute and the University of Cambridge (UK). I have a degree in Mathematics, one in Classics, and a PhD in Computational Linguistics. Prior to joining The Alan Turing Institute and the University of Cambridge, I worked as a language technologist for Oxford University Press (in the Dictionaries division) and as a data scientist for Springer Nature.

My research focusses on computational and quantitative methods to analyse language, particularly in a historical perspective. My interests span from computational linguistics and natural language processing to historical linguistics, classics, and digital humanities.
