Matty Millard

Hi, I'm Matty Millard, an off-the-wall fantasy author from the West Midlands, England.

I grew up reading Roald Dahl, Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams - and my sense of humour certainly reflects this.

My first two novels "In That Other Dimension" and "Aliens.exe" certainly relate to the above authors - they are fun, tongue in cheek sci-fi / fantasy adventure novels - not to be taken too seriously!

As I've got older I enjoy a much wider range of books. Kurt Vonnegut, Fiona McIntosh, Martin Millar, Robin Hobb, Brent Weeks and of course Tolkien are some of my favourites.

My short story collection "If You Expect The Unexpected, It Won't Be Unexpected Anymore" reflects the variation in my reading, with stories that overlap sci-fi, fantasy and crime genres. They are still unique to my style of writing as every story includes a huge twist!
