Lori Berhon

Like her fiction, novelist, playwright and sometimes actor Lori Berhon is not easily categorized. Which makes it a little tricky for her to jot down her "brand" statement on a cocktail napkin.

She writes because she has never met someone who wasn't a story.

In addition to her (multi-)character-driven contemporary novels, she has released the first in what will be a series of fantastical adventures set in an alternative version of the 19th century (published under the pseudonym Merle Darling).

She has a quick wit and a slow metabolism. She is actually taller, slimmer and far more elegant than she appears to be. Despite the overall impracticality of it, she continues to live in her home town of New York City where, technically, she makes her living writing.
