Brandy Lay

Brandy Lay always wanted to become a writer. At any given time, she is creating multiple stories in her mind.

After writing her first book, “Night-Night, Yellow Sun!”, she requested the assistance of her sister-in-law with the illustrations and the book became a reality. They have now worked on three children's books together.

Lay also wrote 'Walk Like Penguins', a children's book tackling the subject of ALS, which her father lived with for almost ten years, and passed away from in 2015.

WLP is about her children and the special memories they made with their Pop-Pop while being mindful of his progressing limitations.

ALL proceeds from 'Walk Like Penguins' are donated to various ALS organizations.

Lay works as a Freelance Writer and editor for her company BRCL Writing, Ltd., and also as an elementary school substitute teacher.

When not writing for others or working on her own manuscripts, you can find her laughing and enjoying life with her husband, and discovering the wonders of the world with her two amazing children in Ohio.

She credits her children for being her muses and giving her all the inspiration she needs for her books.

She’s also grateful for such a supportive husband who continually informs her that when she makes it big, he’s retiring. She tells him not to hold his breath, just in case.
