Dw Dunphy is an author, musician, artist, part-time mechanic, full-time stranded-by-the-side-of-the-road kind of person. He makes his home in the cutthroat wiles of Red Bank, New Jersey where the antelope do not play and the deer are frequently flattened by Range Rovers.
Dunphy prefers to look at life from the side, rather than directly head-on. "Life has a separate level of meaning and definition when you look at it from a different angle. While I appreciate the no-nonsense form of prose, I often find that you get your point across much better if you are not so direct. We hear the given description so often that it has no stickiness, so when you hear something described as if by a complete foreigner you can appreciate it in new ways. That's what I attempt to do."
When asked about his multiple endeavors, Dunphy quickly replies, "It keeps me busy, instead of starting fires."
When asked if he finds that he does start fires out of boredom, he insisted on his fourth amendment rights just before attempting to dispose of the matches.
