J A Kahn

If JA Kahn’s books are packed with mystery, mayhem and the occasional strange creature, it’s because his life is too.

When not writing, he can be found gardening, tinkering with something that probably shouldn’t be tinkered with, or wandering around the countryside looking for inspiration. Over the years, he’s kept ant farms, raised chickens and frogs, built garden ponds that attracted everything except the wildlife he wanted, climbed trees, and taken part in numerous conker fights, with the bruised knuckles to prove it.

So, as you can imagine, he’s accumulated a rather peculiar collection of experiences, which he has a habit of putting into his stories. And if something mysterious is happening in the woods, there’s a good chance JA Kahn is somewhere nearby, taking notes.

Influenced by the books of Roald Dahl and Jill Murphy, Kahn writes clean, fun thrillers, dark fantasies and cosy animal adventures for curious readers—both young and old.
