J. Patrick Costello

Patrick is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Chartered Life Underwriter who has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay area for fifteen years. He has published a book on "Green", or Socially Responsible Investing, and is passionate about working with investors to help them better align their investment strategies with their personal ethics while earning a competitive return.

Patrick is active in the Fossil Fuel Divestment movement in his local community and in his work as a Financial Planner, shows clients how to go Fossil Fuel Free with their own investment portfolios.

Additional elements of his financial planning philosophy include a focus on the tax consequences of investment strategies, the importance of deductible retirement plans for business owners, and the usefulness of insurance products such as annuities and cash value life insurance in the context of comprehensive financial planning.

A lifelong musician, Patrick lives in Fairfax with his wife, working on musical projects in his spare time and riding his mountain bike up and down the foothills of Mt. Tamalpais.
