Nancy Sellin has directed and acted in dozens of plays over the past 5 decades, mostly in NYC on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in Regional Theatre. She wrote, produced and acted in her one-woman show "The Lives Inside Me" over 1000 times within the U.S. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NYC, and subsequently became a faculty member for seven years teaching acting (scene study, Commedia Del Arte, Restoration Comedy, Greek Tragedy) and directed plays primarily in the third-year Academy Production Company. She was the founder and Artistic Director of Theatre-Movement Connections (NYC), an extensive workshop that explores the relationship between acting, character, and body movement. She was a Resident Director for the Performers at Work Theatre Company, NYC, and coached professional actors in the Grotowski technique. She is the author of several plays, a screenplay, short stores, and a children's book with songs. She served in the Peace Corps in Liberia, West Africa, and has a published memoir of her experience written from a distance of 40 years later. Since moving to New Mexico, she has found her niche directing at the Albuquerque Little Theatre, The Adobe Theatre (and is also their President), and the East Mountain Center for Theatre. Nancy is currently writing another memoir.
