Miranda is a scriptwriter, bestselling author and early years specialist.

She writes story books and plays for children, as well as early years and playwork textbooks for the people who teach and care for them. Her book Child Development 2nd Edition will be published by Hodder Education in Spring 2022.

Miranda has owned a day nursery and out-of-school clubs, and has worked as an early years lecturer, Ofsted inspector (early years) and teacher trainer.

She also writes drama and comedy for stage, TV and radio. Credits include Face It (BBC iPlayer, Creator and Writer, starring Abigail Cruttenden and Crystal Marshall), Wonderblocks, Rafi the Wishing Wizard, Playtime Towers and Gigglebiz (CBeebies), Diddy TV (CBBC), The Now Show and The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), Fly Eddie Fly (a musical starring Olympic ski-jumping legend Eddie the Eagle as narrator) and An Inspector Calls Back (The Courtyard Theatre, London).
