Marshall Ulrich

Marshall Ulrich (b. July 4, 1951) is a farmer, used cow dealer, ultrarunner, Seven Summits mountaineer, adventure racer, explorer, speaker, and best-selling author. His first book, Running on Empty, used his record-setting run across America in 2008 as the thread to tie together some of the painful, funny, and life-changing lessons he’s learned through his thirty-five years as an endurance athlete. In Both Feet on the Ground, he shares stories from adventures in racing, trekking, and mountaineering in places like Tibet, Fiji, and Death Valley. The most important lessons he’s learned through these extreme adventures in nature are about senses that used to be common among people who lived closer to the land. Join him, and learn how to let the natural world ground you.
