Alan Kehew is a geology professor at Western Michigan University. His passion is understanding the landforms, deposits and geological processes near the earth's surface, especially those associated with the last ice age. This quest has led him to many spectacular places around the world. Although he has written numerous articles for technical journals and several textbooks, "Glen Canyon" was his first novel. Geology is an essential component of the plot. His second novel, "Invisible Danger", explores the health effects of groundwater contamination in a fictional setting. Kehew, born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has three daughters and two awesome grandkids. He currently lives in Portage, Michigan.
