Vanessa Morgan

Born and brought up in Worcestershire, Vanessa has always had an interest in history and for the last thirty years worked as a professional genealogist. After writing numerous articles for family history magazines she was approached by The History Press to write a family history book based in Worcestershire. Through her family history research it was often necessary to read old newspapers and this brought various murder stories to her attention - which led her to delve deeper into local murders which had taken place in the nineteenth century. She is also a local speaker and gives numerous talks which include genealogy and local murders. Her interest in the First World War started on the 100th anniversary when she began looking through old magazines which had belonged to her grandfather.
