Monica worked as a journalist for over 20 years before turning her hand to fiction and penning her debut novel THE WINTER'S SLEEP.

As a journalist, she has written for numerous national newspapers and magazines including: The Daily Mirror, The Daily Express, The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, Grazia, Red, Woman and Woman’s Own.

She is also the co-author of four self help books, published by Piatkus Books/Little Brown, one of which THE FUTURE IS YOURS is an international bestseller.

All four books have been translated into several languages including: Japanese, Norwegian, Czech, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Slovak and Estonian.

THE POWER OF MANIFESTING was published by Piatkus Books/Little Brown in 2024.

In 1997, Monica won a scholarship from the Reuters Foundation (now Thomson Reuters Foundation) to attend a training course at Green College, Oxford, with Reuters. She was the only British journalist selected for this award, which was open to all media worldwide.

Monica is now a Fellow of the Thomson Reuters Foundation. The previous year, in 1996, Monica won a BBC News & Current Affairs sponsored award from the Radio Academy.

Monica lives in Yorkshire.
