Shelly McDunn

Shelly McDunn (AKA S.M. Klassen) is the author of three mystery novels set in different periods of the 20th and 21st century. Spies, Lies, and Shoo-fly Pie is contemporary, taking us from the Florida Keys to Pennsylvania Dutch territory. City of Dread is set in 1919 New Orleans during the second wave of the “Spanish Flu” pandemic while an axe murderer wreaks havoc in the city. Her latest mystery novel, A Superior Menace, is set in 1950, bringing characters from City of Dread to the south shore of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. In her books she blends her love of history with an upbeat tone, humor, and the desire to entertain without excessive drama. Writing under the name S.M. Klassen, this author has published seven Regency Era novels, each a continuation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (these titles can be seen on the S.M. Klassen author page). Ms. McDunn enjoys bicycling, kayaking, and watching old movies with her husband and Morkie.
