Georgette Lee, PhD, was born and raised in Barbados where she worked as an elementary teacher before relocating to the United States. She has also lived and taught in Nassau, Bahamas. As a veteran educator, Dr Lee has worked at all levels of education from elementary through high school, college, and university. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading and writing poetry and prose. She is the author of Layers of Living, Seasons, Poetically Speaking: Poems for the Elementary Classroom, and Writing Poems: As Easy as 1-2-3. Dr. lee and her husband live in the South Chicago land area.
