Pearson Sharp

An enthusiasm for classical literature and mythology were a big part of Pearson Sharp's early years. Adventure stories by Robert Louis Stevenson, Mark Twain, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, combined with the dark forests of Ohio where he grew up, sparked his imagination. They're also where much of the inspiration for The Sovereign would come from many years later.

Pearson has lived all over the United States, and spent several years abroad living in England, China, and Canada. His interests in traveling have taken him across Europe, including through northern Scandinavia and across Russia. The various peoples and places he's encountered all make their way into his writing, in one way or another, and it's his ambition to one day spend time living in Tibet and Nepal.

Currently living in San Diego, when Pearson's not writing he spends his time snorkeling, sailing, hiking in the mountains near Laguna, and planning his next trip overseas.
