Joyce Ann Tepley

Joyce Ann Tepley was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1943. At age 9, she and her baby brother contracted polio a few years before the vaccine. Her physical challenges, learning to walk again, her family's insistence and support that she could create a full and independent life, made her into the thriver she writes about. Retired from a forty year social work career she has dedicated the rest of her life to honoring those who thrive through adversity by telling their stories. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and their dog, Kati.
