Lara Whatley

Born and raised in the rolling horse country of Southern Ontario, Lara Whatley has always had a passion for reading. As soon as she could, she was writing short stories, and then her first novel. She published her debut novel (The Last Pages) in 2014 while still in high school. A few years later she published Frozen Flames. After school and a Commerce degree in between, Lara took a break from writing to pursue her other creative pursuits including animation and sculpture, during which she started up Whatley's Wildlife, her art studio where she now spends much of her days. She won awards for her short stories in the meantime and continued to take creative writing workshops and courses to hone her craft. Lara knows she will always write no matter what comes, and she has three new series in the works - in various stages of completion. When not writing or reading, crafting, or sculpting, Lara can be found in the great outdoors gathering scope and inspiration for her next creative pursuit.
