RICHARD DECKARD

Richard Deckard, has been writing for 35 years, his universe is divided between science fiction and technophile thrillers.

Richard, very early on rocked by the readings from the green library where he discovered Jules Verne, contracted a devouring form of the reading virus. Every trip to the city becomes a pretext for buying books. He then walked through the basements of a large bookstore where pocket book treasures were hidden. Very quickly, he found his happiness in detective novels. He devours almost all of Agatha Christie's work, explores the Mask collection with their yellow and black covers, reads Exbrayat and many others.

Then, in the mid-1980s, he tried, not without risk, to read science fiction and this was the revelation. First, he finds an a priori inexhaustible way to satisfy his growing thirst for reading. Then, he is captivated by the universes that unfold before his amazed eyes. Thus, he will skim the booksellers in search of more economical books, because his purse is not expandable and you have to eat as well. He then plunges with admiration into Frank Herbert's universe of Dune, Isaac Asimov's Foundation cycle, Jack Vance's teeming universes and Philip K. Dick's schizophrenic delusions. It is for his expenses and the books will accumulate, accumulate to quench this thirst.

It was around the same time, although he had already written some texts, that he really began to write. For about ten years, he developed a whole universe for his first science fiction novel: Akiz, the mirror of the desert.

He also writes short stories and poetry that will unfortunately remain in a drawer forever.

Then he started writing a thriller: remember us, which made him want to write contemporary stories as well.

Over the years, he tried other fields such as humour and children's books, but always returned to science fiction and thrillers.

Always listening to his overflowing imagination, he has in reserve a multitude of science fiction novel ideas, a new series of thrillers whose first volume has already been released and which is called the twilight of souls and a series of science fiction started with First Symptoms.
