James Stratton

James Stratton was born in Ohio and has lived for many years in southern California. An educator and film scholar, he is the author of the best-selling Hitchcock's North by Northwest: The Man Who Had Too Much; A Star Is Born and Born Again: Variations on a Hollywood Archetype; Picture Business: L.A. Stories, Poems and Portraits; Angie: The Life and Films of Angie Dickinson; and The Cinema of Maria Novaro. His most recently published book is A Century in the Telling: Must-See Genre Films. (Not the author of the David Letterman book.)
