Corri van de Stege

Corri van de Stege was born in The Netherlands and in her twenties moved to England, gained a degree in Philosophy from University College London and a Masters in Education Policy. She lived and worked in England, Iran and The Netherlands, finally settling in Norfolk, England, as a full time artist, painting and writing. ‘Half the World’ is her memoir of living in Isfahan before and during the 1979 Iranian revolution. Her debut women’s fiction novel is ‘Notes on Anna’, which is about a girl who escapes a 1950s dogmatic religious environment in the Bible belt of The Netherlands, only to find herself embroiled in revolution elsewhere. A third novel ‘For the love of Ilsa’ is set for a large part in Norfolk. Two shorts have meanwhile been published, ‘The Price of a Teabag’ and ‘Motet of Betrayal’. More recently she has focused on developing her painting techniques and skills and has participated in a couple of exhibitions.
