Ryan Williamson

Ryan “R.A.” Williamson is the author of the Doomsday Recon trilogy, a #1 bestseller in military fantasy and war fiction praised for its immersive world-building, military authenticity, and unflinching portrayal of combat. His other published works include the YA space opera Doors to the Stars and its prequel, Junk Rat; the Zarahemla Two Crows weird west series; and numerous short stories. He is currently deep in the editing trenches on the foundational duology for Dark Dominion, an epic science fiction series, and preparing The Stygian Blades, a dark and bawdy late-Tudor secondary-world fantasy, for publication in early 2027.

Born in Canada, Ryan moved to the Seattle area in his teens, served in the U.S. Army as a cavalry scout, sojourned for a time in Navajo country, and ultimately returned to the Pacific Northwest, where he lives with his wife in a half-empty nest with arguably too many dogs—and one tarantula (which she insists is also arguably too many).
