Steve Paul

Steve Paul has worked at an oil refinery as a shift supervisor, a wrangler on a dude ranch, a firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management, and as a deputy sheriff and police officer during a Wyoming oil boom. Steve lives in southern Wyoming with his wife, Judy, and their two surrogate kids: Callie, a Great PyreneesCattle dog, and Barney, the best of multiple breeds.

Over a dozen of Steve's short stories have appeared in magazines and ezines in the genres of historical sci-fi, crime, mystery, and suspense/thriller.

His first novel, Can Horses Cry? takes place in contemporary Wyoming, while his second novel, The Last Gunfight, take place in the late 1800's of Wyoming. His third book, Western Tales for Unsettled Nights, was released April 2, 2014, and is a collection of short stories from different genres, going from macabre, to light humor. From a cat burglar attacked by a guard dog, to murder mysteries.

All three of his books have been published by Sage Words Publishing.
