J.B. North

A lifelong dreamer and story crafter, J.B. North started writing novels at a young age. She published most of the Legends of the Shifters books as a teenager while living on a farm in southern Virginia. Unfortunately, she never stumbled upon a dragon egg or had a wizard in a pointy hat tote her off on some grand adventure, but she did find a quiet sort of magic in imagining vast worlds, flawed characters, and her own take on mythical creatures and shapeshifters.

Since the last Legends of the Shifters book came out in 2018, North has been working on several upcoming novels. Her writing gravitates toward imaginative, action-packed fantasy with twists and turns and the promise of romance.

Currently, North lives in South Carolina with her husband and child, and is mastering the art of typing quietly, lest she wake the impossibly cute troublemaker sleeping nearby.
