Beth Bricker Davis is a poet, enjoys playing violin in a small string ensemble, Sunday Strings, which she co-founded in 2001, and is retired after 30-plus year in the social work field, where she last enjoyed working for over eight years as a hospice counselor. Davis has been writing as long as she can remember and feels "called" to write, finding writing therapeutic and an extension of herself.
Davis' late husband, Dr. Mike Davis, who was president of Pueblo Community College, died in a plane crash in 2006, while flying his Piper Comanche to PCC's Durango, Colorado, campus. Her husband's untimely death has been the impetus for much of her writing.
Davis is an Indiana native but is grateful to live in sunny Pueblo, Colorado, with her two sweet dogs, Buffy and Buddy. She is equally grateful for the meaningful, musical, and spiritual friends who share her life. She has published two books of poetry: Aspen Leaves in October: Poems of Life, Love, and Loss, and Lean In: Poems of the Heart.
