David Longshaw

David Longshaw is a Fashion Designer, writer and illustrator.

Longshaw’s 5 ‘Fashionable children’s tales for grown-ups’ are now available on Amazon.

The series was first inspired by Maude, a rather opinionated fabric fashion mouse, David created (from scraps of cashmere suiting, given by a Savile Row tailor whilst he was on work experience) to star in his final year graduate catwalk show at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Maude has been described by British Vogue as 'Longshaw's long standing cult creation.'

He has also created 'Francesca & Arthur' a comic strip for Vogue Italia (vogue.it)

And

A number of animations for LOVE magazine.

David Longshaw studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art. Before moving to Italy to design for Alberta Ferretti and Max Mara.

Longshaw returned to England to set up his own label, for which he was named as a 'Designers to Watch' by vogue.co.uk and a 'Rising Star' by ELLE. He was the winner of the inaugural British Fashion Council /ELLE Talent Launch Pad. He also spent time as Artistic Director of a Chinese fashion label.

In more recent years David and his wife Kirsty Ward, joined forces creatively to form a new label, LONGSHAW WARD. Exhibiting in Paris and Milan, showing on the catwalk at London Fashion Week and Internationally in China, Kiev, Belarus…

Winners of ‘Designer of the Year’ HFW, China and an IDA - International Design Award. Longshaw Ward have been featured in L’Officiel, VOGUE, NYLON, ELLE, Marie Claire, Grazia, The Sunday Times Style, Chanel 4, the Guardian, Le Figaro - Madame, LOVE, TATLER, HUNGER, The Observer, Harpers Bazaar, Schon, WWD….
