Karen Scheuer

I was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and I still reside there with my husband and children. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was four years old. When I was in high school, I wrote my first children's book, and published that in 2019. I taught elementary-aged children for 25 years, and then was a college professor for four years. When I'm not in school, I enjoy calligraphy, knitting, shopping, making jewelry, and getting together with family and friends.

We all know that teasing and bullying have increased, and now there's cyber bullying too. This subject is dear to my heart, because it affects how children view themselves. When they view themselves poorly, it can then affect their schoolwork and home life. I hope my book, A BUG AND A WISH, will help children stand up for themselves, and encourage bystanders to get involved.
