Steve Hedgpeth

Former journalist Steve Hedgpeth, a native of Baltimore who served

time over 23 years at the Baltimore News-American, the Bucks County

Courier Times and the Newark Star-Ledger, published his first Kindle

book, "What They Did There: Profiles from the Battle of Gettysburg,"

in 2014. The book has since become an e-book best-seller in the genres of

Civil War and Gettysburg history.

His second book, "Throne of Games: English First Division Football,

1958-1972," crossed the Atlantic to chronicle a singular era in the

history of British sport.

Hedgpeth's third book, "Shake It Up, Baby," traces the link between

American songwriters and the Beatles-led British Invasion of the '60s.
