John Trefry

John Trefry is an American author living in Lawrence, Kansas. His work deals with formal issues of narrative and prose in an attempt to construct experiences for the reader, rather than position them as the audience. His first novel, 'Plats', adopts a disjointed, yet rhythmic structure to involve the reader in the perceptual framework of the schizophrenic protagonist. His work has been compared to French provocateurs from Beckett to Butor.
